You may have noticed a red bird feeding station situated in a flower bed behind the bike shed!

Matthew Jackson (Year 3) has been following the Springwatch programme that is currently on BBC2 everynight. He thought it would be a good idea to accept the Schools Challenge, set by Springwatch of finding out if birds are attracted to a certain colour bird feeder and if so, which colour?

The Rainbow Room children purchased bird feeders, painted them blue, red, green, yellow and left one unpainted. The same amount of bird seed has been placed in each one and The Rainbows are monitoring what will happen.

Once the experiment has been completed the results will be sent to Springwatch.
